Land Cruise Destinations

May 8-13, 2010 Virginia History Tour
This power-packed seven day tour will find us in DC, Mt. Vernon, Richmond, Monticello, and Colonial Williamsburg as we work our way around the Commonwealth of Virginia. History comes alive as we relive parts of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. We concluded our tour at the famous and historic Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA ... just as Thomas Jefferson once did.
May 16-22, 2010 Hilton Head Island, Savannah and Charleston
One of our most popular tours, Hilton Head Island has something for everyone! Low Country cuisine, beach-life, spectacular scenery, and historic plantations make this a trip to remember! You'll fall in love with Savannah, GA, Beaufort, SC and Charleston, SC. Your Tour Director has vacationed here since 1977 ... and hopes to continue until 2077!
May 24-27, 2010 Four Day Mystery Trip
Can't give you any clues since it's a Mystery Trip! However, if you go, you will be glad that you did. These trips attract fun-loving, adventurous people; ... others need not apply
June 5-11, 2010 Cape Cod and Nantucket
Unlike other tour companies, we stay four nights directly on the ocean. In addition, we travel to and from Nantucket Island via high-speed catamarans. It's a great life! You are guaranteed to spot whales on our three-hour whale watch cruise. A clam chowder dinner on the beach is a Land Cruise tradition.
June 13-19, 2010 Boston Pops! and Newport, RI
Since we rode 800 miles from the flatlands to get here, we'll stay near the ocean in Newport and Boston. The mansion tours of Newport are amazing; the Boston experience is incredible. We will tour Symphony Hall and then attend an evening Boston Pops concert from our excellent reserved seats. It is a real "treat" of a trip!
June 25-July 2, 2010 "I Guarantee You've Never Been There ,...and It's Famous"
This eight-day Mystery Trip will cause your friends and family to think you've completely lost your marbles! Sign up for this tour and I'll take you somewhere you've heard about for years and years ... but you've never been there! In fact, I guarantee you have never been there! If you have, you receive a free Three-Day Mystery Trip from Land Cruise.      (I am not worried)
July 6-18, 2010 Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Cape Breton & Prince Edward Island #1
Atlantic Canada is always a hit! You will explore great sites, unbelieveable tidal changes, and gorgeous coastlines as we travel through the provinces. With lots of variety and great food, you will want to repeat this trip again and again. We come home from Nova Scotia by putting our tour bus and ourselves on the high-speed Cat to zip us back to Portland, Maine in the USA.
Aug 5-9, 2010 New York City
This is a second summer tour to the Big Apple. There is nowhere else like New York City. An island (Manhattan) 13 miles long and 2 1/2 mile wide with 1.6 million residents has to be exciting. If you are bored in New York City, it's your own fault! From Times Square to Broadway, to Central Park, to Wall Street, to Rockefeller Plaza, to 25,000 restaurants, ...you must go and experience the excitement and electricity that permeates from the sidewalks. Caution: New York City can be addictive!
Aug 15-17, 2010 Jamestown and Lake Chautauqua, NY
Jamestown is famous as the home of Lucille Ball. Chautauqua is world-reknown for the historic Chautauqua Institute. Enjoy a leisurely dinner cruise onboard the Chautauqua Belle Steamship to and from Bemus Point. Only three days, this tour crams 40 pounds into a 25 pound bag. We conclude our lake experience with a farewell luncheon at La Fleur Restaurant ... memorable indeed!
Aug 25-Sep4, 2010 Quebec City and the Gaspe Peninsula
Who ever heard of this place? (That's why I chose it for our first "I Guarantee You've Never Been There" Mystery Trip.) This Land Cruise includes a 530 mile scenic drive around the Gaspe Peninsula of Quebec featuring one of the most spectacular coastlines in North America. Take a very Frech step back in time as we drive in and out of small villages while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Two nights in Quebec City is always a highlight, too!!
Sep 10-21, 2010 Santa Fe, Durango and the Scenic West
This could be billed as the Beautiful America Tour because words and pictures cannot capture what you will see. Although a distinct southwestern cowboy flavor, you will stay in wonderful accommodations in both Santa Fe and Durango. Ride the famous Durango to Silverton narrow-guage railroad; then travel the Million Dollar Highway via our tour bus. You may have traveled the world, but you will never witness natural beauty any more colorful or majestic than on this Land Cruise.
Sep 25-Oct 1, 2010 Colorful Vermont Inns and Villages
If you have ever wanted to live in the trees ... in the hills ... amidst the fall color of Vermont ... this is your chance! The words quaint, charming, and natural will be used repeatedly as you "get away from it all" to the backcountry and small towns of beautiful Vermont.
Sep 30-Oct 8, 2010 New England Fall Foliage
This is a brand new itinerary for the Vermont and New Hampshire portions of this fall color tour. After three nights in Vermont, we check-in at the magnificent Mount Washington Hotel in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This famous hotel has hosted many presidents and dignitaries ... and now Land Cruise! We conclude our tour on the coastline of Maine, where you will go lobstering and walk the Marginal Way.
Oct 7-15, 2010 Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine
Tried and true, this itinerary has variety in lodging, activities, and cuisine. A wide area of the three states is covered including many changes in elevation. As a result, you will see fall color as you hoped you would. Many happy Land Cruisers have experienced this October tour ... it is too good for you to miss.
Nov 13-23, 2010 San Antonio and the Hill Country
San Antonio is one of the finest and most interesting cities in America! It has everything to make our visit memorable and exciting. Whatever you have heard about San Antonio's Riverwalk, it is more fabulous than you can imagine. With all the US history and sightseeing possibilities, you will agree with me that it is clearly a 10! Within a few hours of our hotel, is LBJ's Ranch in the peaceful Hill Country of Texas. A few mile south is the state capitol, Austin; we will visit both.
Nov 27-Dec 1, 2010 New York City Christmas Tour
People love NYC in the summer. I tell them, "Come back in December; it's 30% more fun!" The Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular alone, is worth the travel from Indiana. The "hub-bub" of the city at Christmastime is an electrifying experience. There is no place like New York City  ... especially at Christmas!
Dec 10-13, 2010 Christmas at The Greenbrier
This is a "WOW" trip! An Amazing one-of-a-kind destination. This is America's best kept secret! On a 10 point scale, I give The Greenbrier a 17!!! This annual visit to the fabulous Greenbrier is highly addictive; so be careful!
